Taiwan Ranks 11th in World Bank's Doing Business Survey

According to the World Bank's Doing Business 2016 report, Taiwan ranks 11th in the Ease of Doing Business ranking, up eight places from last year, and is the highest ranking the country has ever received so far. The Doing Business report measures regulatory quality and efficiency in areas such as starting a business, completing all formalities to build a warehouse, getting electricity, transferring property, getting credit, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency. Taiwan made a significant progress in enforcing contracts, from 93rd last year to 16th this year. Besides, the survey placed Taiwan second in getting electricity and sixth in terms of completing all formalities to build a warehouse.
